It is almost exactly one year that the world, our country and our city drastically changed.
Directly or indirectly, COVID has affected our entire community. Whether by losing a loved one, friend or someone you knew, no one anticipated what we as a people had to deal with the past 12 months. However, continue to be strong and be there for one another.
This winter storm that took just took place was a once in 100 year event. We all know what it did to our city, to our community, to our members. But despite it all, Chabad of Dallas was still there for those in need.
The foundation of the Rebbe’s message and outreach is to help your fellow Jew. This is what Chabad Of Dallas does each and every day.
This past year both individuals and organizations have experienced significant challenges. Notwithstanding all the obstacles, Chabad of Dallas has always been there.
When Passover approached, WE WERE THERE! Packing and delivering hundreds of matzah bags!
Throughout the summer, WE WERE THERE! Hosting 110 campers in our summer day camp in a safe and fun environment.
For the High Holidays, WE WERE THERE! We held multiple indoor and outdoor services to allow for the maximum amount of people to come to in-person services safely!
For Chanukah, WE WERE THERE! We held a Chanukah car parade, lit menorahs outdoors at multiple locations and delivered hundreds of Chanukah party-in-a-box to families throughout the community.
When people had no power at home for days. WE WERE THERE! Hosting tens of people at Chabad, preparing dinner for families who needed. Helping people turn off their water lines and clean up their flooded homes.
And we continue to be here for families and individuals who need a shoulder to lean on while going through a medical emergency or losing a loved one, and to help the underprivileged with food packages and financial assistance to help pay for rent or heat.
Chabad of Dallas approaches this new secular year with a greater financial burden than in past years. Chabad will never stop being there, but we need your partnership by generously contributing to our campaign.
To help us reach our goal of $200,000 and to maximize your gift, a group of generous supporters of Chabad have collectively agreed to double your gift!
Your $180 gift is now worth $360! Your $500 is now worth $1,000.
Please send your gift today so we can receive it before the end of the campaign.
Thank you kindly for considering this important campaign.
You can be a partner in everything we do to benefit the community of Dallas by contributing to our campaign, and by spreading the word. Maimonides says that every good deed, no matter how small, tips the scale of humanity toward goodness. Today you have the opportunity to see the impact of that deed multiplied many times over.
